Today, we talked about what we need to cut up and glue together to make stories flow and make sense.
Firstly, we talked about transition words and invented a group story. We used transition words from our VCOP sheet. Some are in this video:
Then, we tried to decide where to put paragraphs in a long text. Here’s a game to see if you remember what we learnt.
Finally, we briefly covered the power of three and used commas to separate adjectives and phrases in description of places.
- No school next Wednesday.
- Spelling list 15 (silent letters).
- Read Chapters 3 and 4 of the Iron Man and complete the comprehension questions.
- Complete the worksheet (write 2 paragraphs of at least 5 sentences each, but do NOT end the story).
